In 1897 Baxter and Wray patented a new device, the ‘Perfection’ cinematograph, in association with Bradford clockmaker Joseph Oulton. Similar in design to the Riley’s Kineoptoscope, also designed by Wray, the Perfection Cinematograph could both photograph and project film.
