A sequel to 1959’s Room at the Top, Life at the Top finds Joe Lampton’s life no better for the success of his ambitious scheming. He’s being side-lined at work and manipulated by his father-in-law. Even so, he ignores an offer of a job in London and keeps away from attractive TV presenter Norah. When he finds his wife is having an affair, he decides to reconsider on both counts. But can he make it on his own ability down south?
